Our farm
Livestock farming and breeding is especially valuable in our kitchen; we serve meat, milk, butter and cheese made here on the farm. Of course there is more to it than that; children in particular love to see the new born calves, lambs and goat kids in spring. We also grow fruit trees which are not only beautiful when blooming, but also provide the fruit for distilling schnapps, which you are encouraged to try after a rich evening meal.
Our Simmental cattle
This cattle breed originated in the Simmental Valley in West Switzerland. Over more than a hundred years breeding under various conditions has resulted in a world wide sought after multi-purpose breed. In 1895 the first Simmertal breeding club started in Tyrol. Today a healthy and species-appropriate animal husbandry is still valued.
