We are not only running a hotel but also a farm with several different types of animals.
About 80 % of cattle in Austria is Fleckvieh. The breed is called Simmental Fleckvieh because it originates from Simmental in Western Switzerland. More than 110 years of cultivation by breeding under a variety of living conditions have turned the Austrian Fleckvieh into an internationally valued and sought-after breed that is used for multiple purposes.
We are proud to tell you, that when the first Tyrolean Fleckvieh-breeding association was founded in 1895, the former owner of the Hauserwirt hotel, Ludwig Kögl, was chairman of the founding members of the association.
Because of our love for farming, guests from the agricultural sector as well as everybody that is fond of animals and nature is welcome at our hotel.
Especially for children there is always a lot to discover on our farm.
